Relay Use Precautions
- Nov 03, 2017 -

1, in order to prevent the pollution of the terminal surface, should not be in direct contact with the terminal, otherwise, may result in decreased solderability.

2, the location of the lead should be

In agreement with the holes on the printed board, any mismatch may cause dangerous stresses on the relay, impairing its performance and reliability. Please refer to the perforated drawing in the sample.

3, After the relay is inserted into the circuit board, do not bend the lead pin, so as not to affect the relay seal or other performance.

4, during the insertion process can not exert excessive pressure on the relay shell, so as to avoid shell cracking or changes in operating characteristics.

5, fast connection pin insertion, pull the pressure of 10 kg force. Too much unplugging will cause damage to the relay, the pressure is too small will affect the contact reliability and current carrying capacity.

6, special emphasis is that if the installation accidentally dropped or after the impact of the relay, the electrical parameters though qualified but its mechanical parameters may have a greater change, there are serious risks, should try not to use.

7, do not use silicon-containing resin and preservatives, can cause contact failure, even plastic relays.

8, pay attention to the required polarity coil power and contact power supply, the contact is generally spring then positive (+).

9, to avoid the coil voltage exceeds the maximum allowable voltage or coil temperature exceeds the insulation level of enameled wire.

10, the rated load and life under the provisions of the standard conditions, it is impossible to cover a variety of automotive relay use requirements.

Practical application of contact load and life Due to the type of load, environmental conditions, operating frequency or other conditions will be very different, please test or contact the relay manufacturer to obtain technical support.
